This vintage-style ad found on Ads of the World can easily be replicated in PowerPoint. A white box, semi-transparent with a bit of soft edges and a nice font against an image of a brick wall and you’re done.

Well, I use PowerPoint for a lot of reasons all except using it for presentations.

I am with you on this Jaky.

I do use it for presentations, but I also use it when others would go to Visio or Paint Shop Pro or (ick) the Word drawing tools. I am comfortable in PowerPoint, so I do all sorts of visual stuff there.

But then again, I'm still nostalgic for Gem Draw.
