Sometimes two things go together hand in hand, they make each other stronger. Big interlocking wheels are a great way to show this in PowerPoint. Add some nice circular text and here you go. Resist the tempation to make them turn using an animation though…

"Resist the temptation to make them turn" HA! I totally agree!

Fair point Richard. It is a bit time consuming however to construct a PowerPoint object that exactly resembles the wheel shape in your diagram. Maybe I will try it for the next occasion I need to use the concept.

Jan:

When I look at that image I just think “cognitive dissonance.” The teeth on those two gears do not mesh properly. They will interfere with each other and scrape when they try to turn. So, the words and the image really do not belong together.

Two gears that mesh properly are shown at: and an animated example of gear teeth that mesh properly is shown at:

@lexica510. No, no bigger thoughts here, just imperfect execution.

Jan - FYI, Richard's point is also what leaped out at me. "But those won't mesh! Is this to make a subtle point that things that look like they fit together sometimes don't?" is what went through my mind when I saw the image.
