Help, I just moved my PPT drawing guide by accident!

Drawing guides are very useful to keep your pages consistent. I always put ones in such a way that I get a grid similar to the rule of 3:

Below an illustration of a typical gird I would use for a 16:9 wide-screen presentation.

The big issue with drawing guides is when you accidentally move them: how to put them back in the right place?

Another way I keep track of my primary guides is to make a master slide that has shaded boxes (similar to your illustration above). I keep that slide as my last master, so if I ever move a guide, it's a snap to put it back in the right place.

An excellent suggestion Ellen.
