The cliff

I have seen many presentations likes this one:

  1. Stunning slide
  2. Stunning slide
  3. Boring slide
  4. Boring slide
  5. Boring slide
  6. Boring slide
  7. Etc.

A shame. It shows that the designers of these decks understand slide design. Why not push it through to the entire presentation?

Usually I think it comes down to two things.

Time: They spent so much time creating the first two stunning slides they simply ran out of time to finish the rest of the presentation and just have to get it done.

Recycled: I have seen where those stunning slides were from another presentation (company overviews) that a designer developed fully. The new presentation starts with a few of those then the boring slides are added because they are not designers.

In either case, it's unfortunate!
